Q2) When in my cycle can I get pregnant?

Knowing those 2 fertile days is the most crucial aspect for getting pregnant. The average menstrual cycle for most women is 28 days. Somewhere in the middle of your cycle, your body begins to ovulate i.e. it releases an egg from the ovary. This is the most fertile period for any woman. Having an intercourse during this time will increase your chances of getting pregnant.Pregaplan detects these 2 days of maximum fertility with 99% accuracy.

Q3) How does the ovulation test work?

A.) Just prior to ovulation, luteinizing hormone is released. Pregaplan ovulation test detects this release and help you determine and anticipate ovulation and thus pinpoint the most fertile period in your menstrual cycle.

Q4) How to interpret results?

A.) It is simple to interpret Pregaplan results.
A positive result is indicated by a test band that is of equal or greater intensity (darker) than the control band. A negative result is indicated when the test band is of lesser intensity (lighter) than the control band or cannot be seen.

Q5) When is the best time of the day to perform the Pregaplan test?

Unlike pregnancy tests, first urine that is morning urine, is not ideal for Pregaplan test. Test around noon time (12 noon) or later because LH is synthesized in the morning, making it much more likely to show up in afternoon urine. So for best results, fix up a time around 12 noon or later & collect the urine at the same time each day. If the need be, repeat the test at the same time on subsequent days.

Q6) Should I drink plenty of liquids before the test?

No. On the contrary reduce your fluid intake for about two hours before testing, as diluted urine sample can hamper LH detection.

Q7) Should I take the Pregaplan test at the same time every day?

Yes. That would be ideal.

Q8) At which day of my menstrual cycle should I begin testing?

A.) To determine when to begin testing, you must first determine the length of your menstrual cycle. The length of the menstrual cycle is the number of days from the first day of menstrual bleeding, to the day before bleeding begins in the next period. Then, Refer to the Cycle Chart to determine on which day of the menstrual cycle you have to begin testing.

Q9) When is the best time to plan intercourse to maximize my chances of getting pregnant if I get positive result with Pregaplan test?

A.) To maximize the chances of getting pregnant, it is best to plan intercourse on the day when your Pregaplan test is positive and successive 2 to 3 days after it.

Q 10) I took the Pregaplan test and got a faint line… what does this mean?

A.) A lightly coloured or faint line indicates negative results and you need to continue testing on subsequent days.

Q 11) I am on fertility pills…Can I use Pregaplan?

A.) Fertility drugs may interfere with the test outcomes and give false positive results. Please consult your gynecologist before using Pregaplan if you are on fertility drugs.
